Photography: Making Molecular Biology Visible

RNA splicing research occurs at scales invisible to the naked eye. The photography challenge is identifying what can be shown: researchers at work, laboratory environments where discovery happens, equipment and materials that make the science possible.

Over the years, we documented the lab’s daily work — macro details of samples and cellular imaging, equipment and workflow, portraits of team members engaged in research. The objective was creating a visual library the lab could deploy for NIH grant applications, conference presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and recruitment materials.
